Brachymetatarsia, is a foot deformity that has the appearance of a shortened toe, this is typically caused by a growth disturbance to the bone. Any toe can be affected by brachymetatarsia but it most commonly occurs to the 4th toe.

It is common to have callus buildup due to the excessive friction against footwear, well fitted shoes can help reduce the buildup.
